The Tempio Public Prosecutor's Office has opened an investigation into the affair of the Monegasque financier of Italian origins Adalberto Miani, who died in Olbia in December 2024, whose millionaire inheritance is at the center of a legal battle conducted in Italy and in the Principality of Monaco .

The prosecutor Alessandro Bosco is in charge of a file for defrauding an incompetent person whose content is covered by the utmost confidentiality. Miani's children have reported the merchant and entrepreneur from Siniscola, with activities in San Teodoro and Budoni, Simonetta Iozzia, the banker's second wife. The central theme of the complaint is Miani's civil marriage, celebrated in Olbia on December 7, 2022, when according to his children, the man was already disoriented and ill .

It must be said that the Monegasque judiciary has closed a criminal investigation against Simonetta Iozzia for inducing marriage, excluding any illicit conduct by the woman.

The Miani family's lawyers, Marco Petitta, Gildo Ursini and Marzia Ghigliazza, sent a note: «The Mianis are very private people and prefer to leave any comments to their lawyers. The issue does not concern the patrimonial sphere but mainly the moral one, so much so that already in 2023, even before having posthumous news of the marriage celebrated in secret and without any relatives or friends nearby, they promoted, together with the Monte Carlo prosecutor, the action aimed at recognizing a civil protection measure for their father». The measure was ordered by the competent Court of Monaco - following an expert assessment - and with a favorable opinion of the competent Public Prosecutor .

This protection measure, they continue, "despite the opposition lodged by Simonetta Iozzia, was confirmed on appeal and has definitively become final. The pain of the children, but also that of all the family members and lifelong friends, originates from the fact that as soon as their mother, Adalberto Miani's wife for 61 years, died , the latter was suddenly isolated, with external control of his cell phone, so much so as to interrupt all contact with anyone who had accompanied him throughout his life, firing from one day to the next the couple of housekeepers/assistants at home who had followed and cared for Miani and his deceased wife, the ship commanders who had always been at their father's side, and suddenly alienating the family home in Monaco. But what is most painful was the sudden and unmotivated abandonment of the team of medical specialists who had always taken care of his health".
