First day of checks with the Telelaser by the Local Police of the Municipality of Alghero. An initiative that will go on until next Friday in the busiest streets of the city precisely to prevent road accidents and ensure traffic safety. The checks are carried out using the mobile speed detection device, more commonly known by the name of Telelaser, both on extra-urban roads and in those of the inhabited centre.

On the basis of the historical accident rate of the area and the technical assessment regarding the need to carry out controls in order to prevent excess speed, the areas most affected by the activity, even if not exclusively, are: Viale Giovanni XXIII, Via De Gasperi, Via Sant'Agostino, Via Vitt. Emanuele II/ SS 127 Bis, SS 292, Viale I Maggio, SS 127 Bis, Viale Burruni, Via Don Minzoni, Via Liguria, SS 291 Dir, SP 42 and the SP 55.

The control posts are clearly visible, indicated with the appropriate road sign prescribed by the law, both in fixed form and in mobile form, depending on the location.

The technical equipment for the detection will be used in the presence and under the direct control of the personnel of the Local Police of Alghero.

In these first days, the agents coordinated by the commander Matteo Bertocchi have been carrying out prevention work, without any punitive intent, but with the aim of educating the more casual motorists on responsible driving in a period in which traffic could be particularly insidious.
