Suv against a car between Villaputzu and Porto Corallo: a woman died

Fatal accident around 17.30 on the Provincial Road 99 which connects the town of Villaputzu with Porto Corallo.

The victim is an 84-year-old woman residing in Villaputzu , Maria Albina Testa , born in Ethiopia of Italian parents and who had lived in the village for many years.

According to an initial reconstruction, an Audi Q7 SUV, driven by a thirty-year-old man traveling with his partner, overwhelmed the old woman's small car, which had just left a road of agricultural penetration.

The two vehicles collided almost head-on : a very violent impact and the worst was the woman, for whom rescue efforts unfortunately proved useless: she died instantly.

The carabinieri and firefighters were on site to extract the victim's body from the wreckage. The occupants of the other vehicle were almost unharmed.
