Real twenty degrees, fresh but not cold water, not even a cloud as far as the eye can see, no wind. It's Christmas, it doesn't feel like summer but almost, at the Poetto in Cagliari.

Crowded beach, maybe a few "classic" duvets too many. And boys and girls in swimsuits on the sand to sunbathe. At the first stop there are those who dive for a swim in the sun. There are also children playing in the water, with dads who can barely keep them close to the shore, with their feet soaked and their pants rolled up to their knees.

On the coast of the Centomila on this December 25th there is a full house. On the shore and on the seafront, where there are those who run to work off the dinner on the eve and feel at ease with their conscience for the imminent encore of lunch, those who walk (with and without a dog), those who hold the sup ready to be put into the sea.

By mid-morning the parking spaces in Marina Piccola are already sold out and the valets wave their arms to direct motorists towards the free spaces in the dirt road in the shade of the Sella del Diavolo.

The Elliot storm is far, far away and its ice is bringing the United States to its knees. At these latitudes the African anticyclone dominates, which will maintain these weather conditions also for Boxing Day and the following days.

"For all those who wish to spend Christmas in the Maldives, we have succeeded again this year", writes the mayor Paolo Truzzu on social media.
