The villages of Alghero have become the headquarters of strawberries in Sardinia , with over forty hectares of cultivated land, almost double the surface area compared to Arborea.

Next weekend in Sa Segada the red fruit will be celebrated with a party that will last two days . The eighth strawberry festival, in fact, will be staged on 4 and 5 May, organized as always by the village committee.

The entertainment program is rich, including exhibitions of historical agricultural tools and farm animals, then period photos and paintings by Alghero artists Mario Mulas and Cici Peis. The "mice" will also be present thanks to the Fiat 500 club - coordination of Alghero. The little ones will be able to receive their first ride in the saddle, with the TESA association and the "Il Grifone" riding school.

Then dance performances, DJ sets, food and wine stands and, of course, the banquets with strawberries from Nurra, an area where in recent years the number of producers has increased exponentially, with excellent results to say the least. The presentation press conference will be held on Thursday 2 May, at 10am, at Porta Terra with the mayor Mario Conoci and the leaders of the associations collaborating on the event.
