Storms in Sardinia before the mid-August holiday: weather alert issued

Three days into August, a weather alert has been issued in Sardinia, not for heat but for thunderstorms. The Civil Protection Department has issued a warning from 2:00 PM today until 9:00 PM, with a yellow code (ordinary criticality) for rain arriving in the northwest of the island.

Sassari, Oristano, Logudoro and Iglesiente are the areas affected by the weather alert .

At the moment, attention is focused on the afternoon and early evening hours . The disturbance is expected to leave the island as early as today, without lingering further.
