There is an agreement on the introduction of a limited number for access to Cala Luna, one of the pearls of the coast between Dorgali and Baunei, which in the summer months is overrun by thousands of tourists on boats.

The first technical table after the summer, convened by the prefect of Nuoro Giancarlo Dionisi, with the interested mayors, the regional councilor for the Environment Marco Porcu and the maritime transporters, planned the 2024 season . After the controversies of last August, when the mayor of Dorgali, Angela Testone, had issued an ordinance establishing a maximum number of 400/500 bathers on the beach - which was also followed by threats to the first citizen for having adopted the provision late in the season - the Prefect decided to gather everyone around at a table and define the protection of the coast before the start of the tourist season.

" This time there seems to be a common feeling on the adoption of the limited number," said the mayor of Dorgali upon leaving the meeting. To then add: «A fixed number of presences on the cove has not yet been established and there are those who are aiming for variable numbers, both of tourists and boats depending on the week and the influx. After this meeting we will continue with other tables between municipalities in the gulf in view of a next meeting with the prefect at the beginning of the new year".

«The limited number is an indispensable goal that must be coordinated as much as possible», added the mayor of Baunei, Stefano Monni, «Our idea is to build a pilot project with a unitary discipline: in addition to the maximum number we need to work on accesses, cleaning of the beach and rescue at sea".

The prefect reiterated the need to "preserve the environment but also to offer security by involving the police forces".
