Throwing of rocks at passers-by in Corso Europa, the window of the bar in the Terrecotte park smashed with stones . And the lighting fixtures just installed in Piazza Conciliazione were destroyed.

There are three acts of vandalism, the latest in a long series, carried out yesterday in Assemini. Mayor Mario Puddu announces a crackdown. "The situation has become unsustainable and all our actions can no longer be postponed," says the mayor.

What is astounding, he underlines, «is that most of the time they are minors. However, we already have images which we will now analyze better to identify those responsible."

Puddu explains that «it has been and will be my concern to deal with the local police forces (Municipal Police and Carabinieri) and others, if necessary. One thing is certain: I will not and will not remain helpless in the face of this rampant wave of incivility and vandalism."
