The man, for reasons yet to be ascertained, ended up on the ground, violently slamming his face on the asphalt. His cycling friends, who intervened to rescue him, handed him over to the 118 health workers to receive first aid. The Sardinian Rescue ambulance intervened on the spot and transported the victim to the Santissima Annunziata civil hospital in Sassari. Doctors found him with suspected facial trauma and a fractured femur.
The carabinieri of the Porto Torres company were also on site for the reliefs and reconstruction of the dynamics.
