An appeal to the regional councilor for Local Authorities, Finance and Urban Planning, Aldo Salaris, so that he takes note of the "difference in treatment" that exists between the North and the South of Sardinia in terms of State Property and Heritage.

This was addressed by the mayor of the Municipality of Sant'Antioco Ignazio Locci, who, by his nature, has a double mandate with the state property: "Translated in a nutshell, this unfortunately means a lot of often gangrenous bureaucracy - comments Locci - or requests from entrepreneurs unfulfilled or unpublished, left to mold for months and months in the drawers of the regional building".

The mayor asks the regional councilor for greater attention towards the state property of the island of Sant'Antioco, also in the light of the recent approval of the Coastal Utilization Plan: «We expected that with the PUL we would be able to give legs to a whole series of projects presented by local and non-local entrepreneurs, ready to invest in our island, ensuring development and new employment - explains Ignazio Locci - but nothing has changed: the regional structure travels at the pace of a tired snail and the Municipality, for its part, every day tries to reassure those who expect answers from the regional state property in at least acceptable times. It is absolutely not possible that there are practices that are not treated and even unpublished requests".

According to the mayor, there is a real disparity in treatment between the State property which deals with Northern Sardinia and that which instead pertains to Southern Sardinia : «It is clear – concludes the Mayor – that between North and South there is a great inequality: certainly the Sardinia Region and its structure are more attentive to the requests of Olbia and the Costa Smeralda, where the cases are closed with a snap of the fingers. On the other hand, when it comes to South Sardinia, the interest falls only on the very important areas of the Poetto. But nobody seems to care about the state property of Sant'Antioco. We demand that the Region strengthen the offices of the Southern Directorate of State Property, or that it guarantee a supplementary commitment, the one that has not existed up to now. Because it is unacceptable that both the potential of our territory and the expectations of small entrepreneurs and investors are thwarted who, although not in high places like the Arabs and Russians who invest in the Costa Smeralda, are nonetheless entitled to an answer. Like the others. So the Region should wake up and learn to treat everyone in the same way ».
