The search for Davide Calvia, the 38-year-old from Sassari who has been missing since Wednesday evening with his cousin Giovanni Pinna , was focused on the coast of Sorso today, when he went out on an underwater fishing trip but their boat was wrecked in the waters of the Gulf of 'Asinara.

Pinna was found dying on Thursday night after being at sea for 24 hours.

Today's activities have intensified in the hope that Calvia may still be alive, a hypothesis that - however - fades over time.

In the meantime, the investigators are working to find any links between the shipwreck and the theft of a 6-metre cabin cruiser that took place on the same day in Porto Torres . The owner presented a regular complaint explaining that there was very little fuel in the tank and various equipment on board including two wetsuits.

Pinna shows signs of improvement from his hospital bed, the prognosis will be dissolved on Monday and only then can the first interviews with family members and investigators be held. His story could help clarify what happened.
