Acquittal requested by the prosecutor, today in court in Sassari, for the manager of the municipality of Sorso accused of road homicide.
The accusation arose after the death of Giorgio Cattari, who died at the age of 16 in 2016 after falling in Sorso, on via Sardegna, while riding his motorbike.
The hypothesis was that the young man had lost control of the vehicle due to one or more potholes in the road, and had then ended up crashing into parked cars.
For this reason, following the investigations, the prosecutor's office had come to charge the then municipal manager of Maintenance Marco Delrio, defended in the trial by the lawyer Gabriele Satta while the family of the deceased young man was assisted by the lawyer Nicola Lucchi. Judge Valentina Nuvoli adjourned the case to June 18 for the replies and the sentence.
