The appeals of the mayor Franco Zedde of Sorgono to the microphones of Videolina and in several public meetings did not fall on deaf ears. And last Tuesday 26 March the Province of Nuoro kept faith with the commitments already made for some time, publishing resolution no. 32 which paves the way towards the new 24-hour helipad for health emergencies.

Specifically, a loan for use to the Municipality of Sorgono of a 2600 m2 portion in the land of the Agricultural Institute, guaranteeing the night flights of the helicopter rescue service, now authorized for temporary landings at the municipal sports field.

Without prejudice to the conditions included in the document, signed by the general secretary of the intermediate body Vincenzo Zanzarella and by the commissioner Costantino Tidu: from the request to replant the olive trees that will be uprooted during the works, through the commitment to present to the school institute and to the Province itself intermediate projects.

And while work is being done on signing the agreement between the two bodies, the provision is considered to be immediately executable, highlighting the commitment of the commissioner's management to granting a contribution to the "F.lli Costa Azara" agricultural institute, strengthening its laboratory activities.

«We are satisfied with this long-awaited transition – says the mayor Franco Zedde – we have worked hard to ensure that this could be achieved. Our Municipality will not only undertake to respect the points in the resolution, but will always be alongside the agricultural institute, working to ensure that it has its rightful role in the territory. We hope to be able to sign the agreement as soon as possible, thus starting the executive project and then the construction sites".

Zedde adds: «Thanks to the new helipad we will be able to deal with various emergencies, guaranteeing the right to health at any time. This is an essential service for the benefit of an entire territory."
