A post-mortem examination will be performed on Thursday on the body of Alessio Vargiu, the 4-month-old baby from Settimo San Pietro who died in his parents' bedroom, likely trapped between the crib and the bedside table.
The autopsy was scheduled for tomorrow. Today it has been postponed by a day.
The investigating magistrate, Rita Cariello, assigned the task to coroner Professor Roberto Demontis, who yesterday conducted an inspection with the Sinnai Carabinieri at the home where the tragedy occurred.
Meanwhile, Mayor Gigi Puddu has decided to declare a day of mourning for the funeral, which could take place next Friday.
