A big celebration in Soleminis for Laurina Salis's 100th birthday.

The meeting took place in the parish hall with the sprightly old lady, who delved into the past, while also looking to the present. Everything was done with great clarity.

Her close relatives celebrated with the best wishes of many villagers. Mayor Claudio Suergiu and several other municipal administrators also met her. The new parish priest of Soleminis, Father Danilo Piras, was also present.

Best wishes to the grandmother from them and from everyone present, with applause as the cakes, expertly prepared by a local pastry chef, were cut.

Granny's past also included working in the fields: a sprightly woman, with an iron memory and still a good appetite. She promised everyone she'd see her next year. It was a wonderful evening.
