The Sinnai leg of "Sa Mariga de s'aggiuru," a traveling initiative dedicated to raising awareness about violence against women, concluded. This event was followed by the inauguration of the red bench at the Pineta .

The ceremony was attended by Mayor Barbara Pusceddu, Councilors Michela Matta, Maurizio Boassa, and Cristiano Spina, Councilor Alessandra Moriconi, the Local Police Command, local associations, and citizens.

During the ceremony, the mayor emphasized the importance of the initiative for women, who are increasingly victims of violence. "Training is needed," she said, "starting in kindergarten and throughout all levels of education, to build a culture of respect."

Silvana Migoni , of the Donne al Traguardo association, reiterated the collective value of commitment. "When a woman is offended, the entire community is affected. It is essential to collaborate and start with education, family example, but also to support rehabilitation programs for those who perpetrate violence."

Local police officer Denise Corona recalled an incident she experienced. "Thanks to the Red Code protocol, we were able to intervene promptly on behalf of a woman. That day, we not only enforced the law, but also provided the victim with a safe place. This bench has a symbolic value: a place to stop, reflect, and understand that you are never alone."
