Three people were injured in a road accident that occurred Sunday morning on State Road 130, at kilometer 39, in the Musei area.

Due to circumstances currently under investigation, an Audi rear-ended a Fiat Punto. The Audi driver suffered only minor injuries, while the occupants of the Punto suffered the worst injuries. They are a family: a father, a mother, and their minor son . The father, seriously injured, had to be rushed to the hospital—Brotzu Hospital in Cagliari—by air ambulance. His wife and child were also taken to the hospital in Cagliari, where they were transported by ambulance.

The Carabinieri of Siliqua intervened on site with the support of the Iglesias mobile radio unit, together with the firefighters and Anas.

Traffic was also affected, with a section of the highway temporarily closed to allow for rescue operations.
