The illegal cultivation was discovered by the Carabinieri in a steep area, hidden by thick vegetation.

A large cannabis plantation has been discovered in the countryside between Pimentel and Barrali.
It was located by the Carabinieri of the Dolianova Company, supported by the soldiers of the "Sardegna" Hunters Helicopter Squadron from Abbasanta. The plantation was hidden among thick vegetation, in a steep and inaccessible location.
The plants, of various trunks and heights, were uprooted and seized following the investigation, currently held by unknown persons.
During the inspection, a rudimentary water supply system was also found, illegally connected to an underground pipeline owned by the Southern Sardinia Land Reclamation Consortium. Investigations are underway to identify those responsible.
