Party this morning in Sinnai in honor of the "Child Jesus of Prague" starring the children of the parish who carried the small simulacrum in procession in an atmosphere of great emotion.

The procession unfolded from the parish church of Santa Barbara around the square with the parish priest Father Gabriele Biccai who announced the religious event a week ago. Before the procession, mass was celebrated .

The original figurine is housed in the church of the same name in Prague in early Baroque style which dates back to 1611 and which, between 1634 and 1669, was renovated by the Carmelite order. It is located in the Mala Strana neighborhood. An order, that of the Carmelites, to which the parish priest of Sinnai himself belongs. The church is best known for the statuette of the Infant Jesus of Prague, coming from Spain and donated to the Carmelites by Polyxena of Lobkowicz (1628).

The Baby Jesus has two crowns and around forty-six little dresses at his disposal which, according to an ancient tradition, are changed around ten times a year, depending on the liturgical period. A small museum has been set up here with clothing and other religious objects.
