Sinnai-Maracalagonis, tankers to bring water to Su Reu too
Operations to bring water to villages along the Old Eastern Road continuePer restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
First round to bring water to the villages on the new Eastern Sardinian road, which is dry due to the long drought that has dried up wells and springs. The Municipality of Sinnai has already distributed 44 thousand liters of water using a 36 thousand liter tanker from the same Municipality, another tanker of six thousand liters from the Vab Sinnai and a smaller one from Masise with which it was possible to reach areas that were difficult to access. The Municipality of Maracalagonis has already ensured water to the Villaggio delle Rose and among the thirty scattered homes of the mountain resort of Su Reu. The operation will continue as long as there is need: those who need water must request it directly from the Municipalities to speed up the service.
Obviously this is a purely emergency operation. The Municipalities are now aiming to provide a definitive solution to the problem by building a new pipeline that, starting from the Simbiritzi water purification plant, will be able to guarantee water service in all the villages of Sinnai, Maracalgonis and also Burcei, now supplied by the old pipeline that branches off on an eight-kilometer route (700 meters of altitude difference), from the Corongiu aqueduct to the deposit in the highest part of the town, ensuring the distribution of water by gravity. However, this pipeline is several decades old and often leaves the population dry. For the Simbiritzi pipeline there is also a preliminary project with requests for funding from the Region. Obviously, Egas and Abbanoa have also been mobilized.
