An increasingly sophisticated cultivation system behind the maxi plantation seized in recent days by the police in the countryside between Simaxis and Massama.

For some time the agents of the anti-drug section of the Mobile, coordinated by the deputy commissioner Samuele Cabizzosu, had been monitoring some suspicious movements and last Thursday the raid began in the Simaxis countryside: Fabio Serra, originally from Siamaggiore, was surprised while working on the plantation and was blocked (he will appear before the judge on Monday for validation). Other young people, however, managed to escape in a van: a daring escape from the coplanar road to State Road 131, eight kilometers at full speed with overtaking and several attempts to run the police car off the road. The van was abandoned in the fast lane on Carlo Felice, immediately after a curve. Inside the vehicle, 31 bags with 155 kilos of marijuana were found.

The seized plantation is one of the largest ever found in the Oristano area: over 8600 plants divided into nine greenhouses. According to what has been ascertained by the police, there are very expert and skilled people behind this cultivation: the greenhouse had been covered with black sheets (the ones usually used in agriculture for mulching) and therefore even if it was clearly visible even from the prison of Massama did not attract too much attention. It's a shame, however, that under those dark tarpaulins there was sophisticated cannabis production. Part of the greenhouse had been transformed into a drying room, another part was used for processing and finally in an adjoining room a storage room had been created, where the inflorescences were unbloomed and then placed in large bags ready to be transferred to the North of the Island. The irrigation system was very sophisticated, furthermore specific and expensive fertilizers were used.
