Work has begun on the SP 25, now nicknamed the road of shame. After 18 years, the construction site has begun and in a few months, we are talking about 3-4, it will allow normal traffic again on a stretch of road that is important not only for the inhabitants of Silius but for the entire surrounding area.

The SP 25 is not a secondary road but a fundamental artery for the Gerrei road network, given that it branches off into a series of junctions for the Sardinia Telescope in San Basilio and connects the various mining sites and wells in the area. The road had been closed due to a collapse of the road surface and has been stopped with the four arrows since then . After several bureaucratic delays, the mayor of the town, Antonio Forci, can finally declare his happiness for the start of the construction site. A construction site defined by the mayor himself as "important for a stretch of road where there is little visibility at night, due to fog".

After much effort, including from the previous administration, many sacrifices and meetings, " we can announce the start of the works which represent an event of a certain importance for provincial road traffic ", concludes the mayor.
