The Italian Sommelier Foundation of Sardinia is organizing an evening dedicated to Italy's great wine regions, in collaboration with Angelini Wines & Estates. The event will take place on Tuesday, February 24th in Cagliari, at Via Meucci 26, and will offer an opportunity to discover the excellence of the wines of Montalcino and Valpolicella. The event will be led by Pierpaolo Guerra, Area Manager for Central Italy, and Raffaele Porceddu, Hospitality Director and internationally renowned sommelier from Senorbì, with the support of Andrea Cherchi, Head of FIS Cagliari.

This prestigious initiative will allow visitors to compare styles and traditions: from the robust elegance of Cantina Val di Suga's Brunello di Montalcino—including the 2021 DOCG, Vigna del Lago 2021, and Vigna Spuntali Riserva 2020—to the complexity of Cantina Bertani's wines, including the 2022 Valpolicella DOC Ognissanti, the 2021 Valpolicella DOC Catullo, and the 2015 Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG. The tasting will conclude with a surprise vintage Brunello di Montalcino, marking the encounter between different territories, knowledge, and flavors.

The evening will conclude with a light buffet, offering participants the opportunity to continue sharing their experiences and knowledge of wine. The event represents a unique opportunity for enthusiasts and experts to explore and compare different styles, traditions, and knowledge, celebrating the excellence of Italy's wine regions and the dialogue between high-level winemaking cultures.
