Seven years' prison sentence, legal interdiction, but also confiscation of assets for the former director of the Luogosanto post office, Elena Altobelli. The decision is from the Tempio Court (chaired by Caterina Interlandi) and concerns the shortfall of hundreds of thousands of euros from the accounts of Poste Italiane.

Altobelli, 56 years old, from Cagliari, was found responsible for the crime of fraud. According to the Tempio Prosecutor's Office, she convinced numerous elderly customers of Poste Italiane to renew their savings bonds, which she instead put into cash. The events occurred from 2002 to 2016, until the arrest of the former director. For some episodes the statute of limitations has been triggered.

The Court of Tempio ordered the confiscation of Elena Altobelli's assets. it should be remembered that Poste Italiane compensated all its customers involved in the affair. The arguments of prosecutor Mauro Lavra, based on the investigations by the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Tempio, were accepted by the judges .

Altobelli's defender, the lawyer Massimo Puddu, insisted on the certified psychological problems of his client.
