Investigations by the Coast Guard of Porto Torres and the Sassari Prosecutor's Office on a boat found off the coast of Marritza, in Platamona, a small pleasure craft "fished" in recent days by a fishing boat not far from the place where, on April 14, 2023, Giovannino Pinna was found, in a state of hypothermia. The thirty-five-year-old was involved in the mysterious shipwreck, which occurred on April 13, 2023 in the Gulf of Asinara, and which cost the life of his cousin Davide Calvia, found after ten days off the coast of Castelsardo .
The story, shrouded in mystery, could open up new scenarios, once it is ascertained that the boat found is in fact the six-meter semi-cabin boat that disappeared from the Alti Fondali dock in Porto Torres, on the very day of the shipwreck. The investigations entrusted to the Coast Guard and the Sassari Prosecutor's Office will clarify this aspect, an important element to understand what really happened and why Giovannino Pinna, the only survivor, investigated for shipwreck and manslaughter, has decided not to talk.
"The sea gives everything back," Davide's sister, Nadia Calvia, wrote on social media following the news of the discovery of the boat . "Now I hope that light is shed on the brutal murder and those who have remained unpunished until now pay a high price."
