A 65-year-old from Mores was sentenced yesterday in court in Sassari to one year and six months in prison. She was accused of family abuse, private violence, including against a minor, and slander, for episodes dating back to the period between 2007 and 2015. The woman, according to the accusations, began to torment her three stepchildren after the death of her husband and father of the boys.

With insults, threats and insults, also attacking the memories of the parents such as the mother's wedding dress, which was burned, or the photos of the first wedding thrown in the rubbish bin. The 65-year-old, according to the accusation, would have appropriated the economic assets of the young people, among other things by storing food in a pantry to which she possessed the keys, thus preventing access to her husband's children. For this reason, the young people were forced to eat leftovers brought by their adult sister who, at the time, worked in a restaurant.

Among the allegations reported in the courtroom by the defense lawyers Annamaria Ajello and Bastianino Ventura was also that of having brought other men into the house immediately after the death of their husband, forcing the two girls to call them "dad". The 65-year-old will also have to compensate the offended parties 2 thousand euros each.

However, she was acquitted by judge Silvia Masala of the charge of slander because she had accused the girl's uncles of child abduction when she went to take refuge with them. The lawyer Antonella Piras defends the woman.
