Sexual violence, threats and robbery: these are the crimes that led to the sentence of six years and three months in prison against Boubacar Sadio, a 33-year-old Senegalese who in December 2022 had attacked a young woman in via Maddalena, in Cagliari, in short distance from the station.

According to the reconstruction of the public prosecutor Giangiacomo Pilia, the accused had pushed his victim with his shoulder, causing her to end up on the wall of a building, before blocking her and dragging her to a secluded area by pulling her by the hair. After punching her - again according to the prosecution's reconstruction - he tried to abuse her, starting to grope her. Upon the woman's reaction, he walked away with her bag: hence the robbery charge.

The victim's screams had attracted the attention of a police patrol: when the soldiers arrived, however, the Senegalese had also attacked the soldiers.

In court, the girl was a civil party, assisted by the lawyer Gianfranco Piscitelli. The anti-violence association Angeli nel Cuore di Arbus also appeared in court with the lawyer Elisabetta Magrini.

Today the sentence pronounced by the judges of the First Criminal Section of the Court, chaired by Lucia Perrra: Sadio was already detained in prison in Uta.
