Closing day of the Malvasia Festival in Settimo San Pietro. After the proclamation of the best local artisan products, the festival continues today with various events in the streets and in the magasinus, including tastings and lunches of times gone by, and events dedicated to children, protagonists of drawings on the theme, with also a billiard tournament while the Serpeddì choir from Sinnai performed in the town's magasinus. 14 Malvasias were presented in the competition promoted in the context of the "Festival". They were produced by Cabiddu Antonio, Cannas Giorgio, Cadelano Giampaolo, Pili Mario Giorgio, Puddu Salvatore, Cara Danilo, Pisu Francesco, Cabboi Mariano, Cabboi Matteo, Fadda Enrico, Pili Davide, Melis Simone, Porru Vincenzo and Vargiu Angelo.

The first prize went to Vincenzo Porru. The choice was not easy given the quality of the artisanal and local Malvasias presented. The objective of the festival is to promote Malvasia, relaunching its cultivation with the hope that young people above all will take care of it.

During yesterday's evening there was no shortage of "sa cantada" by the improvising poet Fernando Pisu who presented a song "a curba" on the "perfumed Malvasia", written by Daniele Casu from Settimo San Pietro. And again the poetic themed moment, with the poetry of Ferdinando Cadelano. A hymn to this extraordinary wine.
