Between his car and his home, he had 720 grams of cocaine. For this reason, the Carabinieri of Sestu arrested a 59-year-old unemployed man living in the town. He is charged with possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking.
The discovery began during a routine check: officers stopped a small car at a checkpoint. The driver immediately appeared very nervous. So much so, that his behavior prompted the Carabinieri to conduct a more thorough search, both of the vehicle and of the fifty-nine-year-old's home.
The Carabinieri's hunch was immediately confirmed: they discovered over 720 grams of cocaine, ready for retail sale. In addition to the drugs, the officers seized €130 in cash.
The fifty-nine-year-old was locked up in prison in Uta.
