Another 780 thousand euros for the modernization of the water network in Sestu , where water losses amount to the very high percentage of 40% . Egas with a decision of last December 23 approved the second lot of an intervention that will serve to contain losses.

Investment that adds to the 1.6 million one already allocated in October, which involved the construction of new pipelines for 1 kilometer and 649 meters.

Two interventions are planned: a new 730-metre ductile cast iron pipeline – from the intersection of via Picasso and via Vittorio Veneto in a north-easterly direction along via Iglesias to the intersection with via Tripoli – and the creation of a new in Piazza Pertini which guarantees adequate water pressure and a constant supply in the Ateneo district .

«With this new intervention, the Sestu area and its community will be able to count on a more efficient water service. There is still a lot to do in Sardinia but we are approving and planning virtuous projects, thanks to the availability of precious funding, which make us confident for the near future», said the president of Egas Fabio Albieri.
