Selargius, steals three checks from the parish rectory: reported
A 55-year-old from Cagliari is in trouble: he had already managed to collect twoThe Carabinieri of Selargius have reported a 55-year-old native of the capital, known to the police, for theft in an apartment and receiving stolen goods.
The man had cashed two checks and was attempting to cash a third at a bank in Selargius. Checks stolen last weekend in the rectory of the Church of St. Maximilian Kolbe, with the parish priest only noticing it the following Sunday.
The perpetrators of the theft had managed to enter the rectory with the stolen access keys: they had also stolen some religious objects including three gold chalices and a wooden chalice.
