Martina Rundeddu and Samuele Zucca : they are the spouses of the new edition of Sa Coja Antiga .

Thirty-two years old, she, Selargina doc, four more he, Cagliari but Selargino by adoption, and fourteen years of engagement before the very romantic marriage proposal: "I scattered rose petals that led to a series of boxes of different sizes", he tells.

"I obviously said yes right away, and a few tears also fell," she admits, very excited and radiant.

After the stop of 2020 and the reduced form of last year - due to Covid -, the tradition restarts with big celebrations and the hope of leaving the pandemic definitively behind. "We all need and the desire to regain possession of life as always, of the lightness and serenity that we have missed for too long ", observes the mayor Gigi Concu .

“Three years ago I decided to bring the celebrations back to the historic center, because I am absolutely convinced that the Selargino Wedding should be the celebration of the whole community”, he observes. “For this edition we therefore confirm the winning choice, made then, certain of an even more heartfelt participation. Because we all have the desire to forget these difficult years ".

Thought shared by the historic president of the Pro loco Gianni Frau : “We are ready to give our community an unforgettable event. We are working on the program that will see us as always in the front row alongside the municipal administration. There will be many new features, but we will certainly re-propose the food and wine village in Piazza Si 'e Boi ”.

Also present in the council chamber was Don Ireneo, parish priest of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary : “Remember that you are about to take an important step, with a profound religious significance”.

At the end of the conference another good news: "I proposed to the national President of the Pro loco to organize a competition among all the events organized in the various regions", announces the regional president Raffaele Sestu .

“I think Sa Coja Antiga has a very good chance of winning”. The last thought is for the newlyweds: "They are the real protagonists, we will do everything possible to be close to them and to give them an unforgettable day", assures the mayor.
