"The Special Economic Zones represent a development opportunity for the North West of Sardinia, but they arrive a few years late and if the deadlines on tax credit facilities, scheduled for December 31st, are not extended, we risk to lose most of the tax advantages ". Thus the mayors Nanni Campus, Massimo Mulas and Mario Conoci , representatives of the industrial areas of Sassari -Truncu Reale, Porto Torres and Alghero , on the occasion of the operational meeting entitled "Zes: opportunities and development prospects", held in Sassari this morning at the headquarters of the Chamber of Commerce.

The tax benefit , in the form of a tax credit, is due to companies for each investment project up to € 100 million. Until 31 December, unless extended, the tax discount is also due for the acquisition of operating properties. An operational office in Cagliari is available to companies, with the possibility of opening also in Sassari, a team of consultants, a mapping of the territories and a one-stop shop.

Aldo Cadau , special commissioner for Zes Sardegna underlined that "the North West of Sardinia hosts about 500 hectares of Zes, the second most important area of the island, with 16 million and 220 thousand euros of projects presented by the Consortium". The president of the industrial consortium of Sassari, Valerio Scanu underlined that "the fundamental element of the Zes, in addition to the geographical location, is also the presence of a port and adjacent spaces of great consistency, where it is possible to operate to revive the economy starting from sectors, maritime, port and logistic ". Stefano Visconti , president of the Northern Sardinia Chamber of Commerce, Pietro Fois , administrator of the Province of Sassari, Massimo Deiana , president of the Port Authority, Marco Scanu president of the Order of Chartered Accountants of Sassari, Omar Chessa , professor of Constitutional Law and Aldo Berlinguer , professor of Comparative Law.
