The judge of the Court of Sassari validated the arrest of the 46-year-old of Lombard origin who yesterday evening, Monday 23 January, shortly after 8 pm , attempted to rape a 20-year-old girl in the historic center of Sassari .
The accusation is of attempted rape against the young woman , who was yanked and groped as she walked in via Sant'Apollinare , in the heart of the city. Insulted with violent advances, the assailant attempted to drag her to a secluded spot . The woman reacted by screaming and asking for help, thus attracting the attention of one of the passers-by, a 55-year-old who rescued her.
Nearby also a police car that intervened immediately. The man was stopped and arrested by officers.
