Sassari, stones fall from the Cathedral of San Nicola

Calcinacci in front of the Cathedral of San Nicola in Sassari . Five stones were found this morning on the second step of the church entrance steps.

Firefighters , municipal police and civil protection are on site. An operator of the latter carried out checks with a drone to assess any damage and check if the material accidentally fell from the top of the church. Then the flying ladder of the fire brigade intervened.

From the first investigations it would not be tuff, and therefore of load-bearing materials, but perhaps deriving from subsequent interventions.
