From Upim to the obligation to sign from the Carabinieri.

A 46-year-old was caught in the act of theft on Thursday in Sassari as he hurriedly walked away from the shopping center weighed down by a bulky bag. The strange figure aroused the suspicion of the local police officers who stopped him after a few meters. However, the man, of Brazilian nationality, first got rid of his backpack and hid it under a car.

Short-term move because the police immediately recovered the bag and found a large number of items of clothing inside, including 12 packages each containing three pairs of short socks, and 5 with three boxer shorts each.

All goods that were discovered to have been stolen from Upim among the items on display without anti-shoplifting devices and worth approximately 135 euros. Yesterday morning in court there was a direct hearing in the presence of judge Sara Pelicci and prosecutor Mario Leo who requested precautionary custody in prison for the 46-year-old. The Brazilian's defense lawyer, Carlo Foddai, instead presented a request for the signature requirement.

And the judge finally ordered the man's daily presentation to the barracks, postponing it to October 30th for the next hearing.
