One year and six months in prison. This is the sentence requested by prosecutor Antonio Pala, yesterday in court, against a 65-year-old accused of family abuse, private violence and slander.

The disputed episodes date back to 2015 and allegedly occurred in a town in the Sassari hinterland when the accused, following the death of her husband, began to target her three stepchildren .

According to the accusations, the woman would have threatened and insulted them, destroying some furnishings in the house, setting fire to the wedding dress of their mother, who had died years before, and throwing the photo of her parents' wedding in the rubbish bin.

According to the charges, he would then send one of his stepchildren away from home because he was not self-sufficient from an economic point of view and would have beaten up his stepdaughter, who was a minor at the time . Furthermore, as recalled by the two defense lawyers Annamaria Ajello and Bastianino Ventura who have joined the civil action for the offended parties, the 65-year-old, in addition to appropriating assets and money inherited in co-ownership with her husband's children, would have hidden the supplies in a pantry of which he had the keys, thus forcing the boys to eat leftovers brought from the restaurant where one of them worked.

The accused had finally filed a complaint against the girls' uncles for child abduction even though, according to the accusation, she knew that they were innocent because the young girl had left home after having been threatened, insulted and pulled by the woman. Antonella Piras, the 65-year-old's lawyer, contested all the accusations during the discussion, asking for acquittal for her client. Judge Silvia Masala adjourned until January for replies and possible sentencing.
