Two years and 8 months in prison.

This is the sentence for Francesco Giordo, today in court in Sassari, accused of aggravated robbery and injury. According to the prosecution, the 41-year-old, just under a month ago in Porto Torres in the Granai area, had stolen their cell phones from two minors by threatening them and perhaps pressing a credit card or other object on the neck of one of the young women.

Immediately arrested by the police of the local station, he then ended up in prison in Bancali. At lunchtime the abbreviated procedure which saw the prosecutor Ermanno Cattaneo ask for a sentence of 3 years, 4 months, 10 days and a fine of 666 euros. The accused's lawyer, Nicola Ribichesu, had instead requested acquittal for his client, inviting the latter's version to also be considered.

A narrative repeated in court by Giordo who claimed to have purchased the mobile phones from another person. In the end, judge Paolo Bulla ordered the sentence which also includes the payment of 413 euros.
