Sassari, dispute ends in hammering: a man in serious condition

A man is hospitalized in serious condition after being injured during a dispute that broke out in an apartment in the historic center of Sassari.

According to an initial reconstruction, the man, of Nigerian origin, had an altercation with a fellow countryman, who then hit him on the head several times with a hammer , even though the weapon used for the attack is still being verify.

After the alarm was raised on the spot, help arrived: the wounded man was rushed to the Santissima Annunziata hospital, while the attacker was stopped by the carabinieri for identification and interrogation.

The military is also collecting the testimonies of some people who witnessed the fight.
