The controversy continues over the work envisaged by the municipality of Sassari to eliminate the hydrogeological risk in the Fosso della Noce . The Cappuccini district committee opposes the project and collects signatures against its implementation.

Last Friday, however, the mayor denied the promoters the use of public land for the petition . "The problem is that they are communicating to the citizens - says the councilor for Infrastructures and Mobility Carlo Sardara - information that is not relevant to reality". Sardara points out that the area has the highest hydraulic risk contemplated by the law and there is the danger of floods such as those that occurred in Bitti and Olbia. «The signature that has value for us is from someone who tells us that the project is not going well but must come from an expert in hydraulic engineering who is confronted on a technical level».

So there is no political problem, as confirmed by the neighborhood intercommittee. «No one manipulates us - declares Nicola Ribichesu, vice president of the Cappuccini committee - this project does not convince us. It is a gully that guts the valley and takes it away from future use». According to Ribichesu, there would also be the possibility that the pipes, which will convey the water, "could become open-air dormitories for homeless people".

Meanwhile, the collection of signatures continues, now in its fourth day. "We have more than 3 thousand - reports the president of the committee Uccio Virdis - We will continue to record them until April 12, the day in which we will hold a demonstration against the channel".
