A theft for two, or rather one. In June 2021 in Sassari an elderly lady welcomes into her home those who, shortly afterwards, taking advantage of a moment of distraction on the part of the woman, steal 385 euros from her purse and the keys to the apartment.

But here doubts arise about the identity of the other person responsible because the first, known by the significant nickname "Lightning", had already been identified while the second was shrouded in the fog of memories. However, a 40-year-old man from Sassari, who knew the suspect and had been associated with the latter, ended up on trial.

For prosecutor Paola Manunza, yesterday in court, the 40-year-old's responsibility is clear, so much so that he is asking for 2 years and 2 months in prison, with the aggravating circumstance of having committed the crime against an elderly person. The defense lawyer, Gianluigi Poddighe, went over the story demonstrating how there was only one piece of circumstantial evidence regarding his client, not supported by other pieces. Judge Monia Adami's sentence was full acquittal for the accused.
