This is the punishment inflicted yesterday in court in Sassari, by the panel chaired by Giancosimo Mura, alongside Monia Adami and Sara Pelicci, against Aktepe Hakan and Lorenza Carvajal-Gutierrez, the former Turkish, the latter Colombian .

The role of the two, in an affair dating back to 2009, was to deliver the money - around 40 thousand euros - relating to a drug consignment , the sum with which they were caught while traveling to the province of Sassari. The investigation, which began abroad and then continued in Italy, led to the discovery of a vast sale of heroin, cocaine, ecstasy and hashish between the peninsula, Sardinia and Europe .

The positions of Hakan and Gutierrez, still untraceable, were the last ones left to be evaluated in the judicial sphere after the other protagonists had already mostly chosen the abbreviated path . The couple was defended by the lawyer Maria Carla Sunch of the Diaz firm who underlined during the discussion that no narcotic was ever found in the possession of her clients. The trial, under the territorial jurisdiction of the DDA of Cagliari, then took root in Sassari for the crimes that occurred in the province. Prosecutor Gilberto Ganassi had asked for a seven-year prison sentence.
