An appointment to commemorate the tragedy of Conch'e Oru, the plane crash that occurred in the mountains of Sarroch between the night of 13 and 14 September 1979, in which 31 people died.

The cultural association Visit Sarroch has organized for tomorrow at 5 pm, in the parish theater of Santa Vittoria, an evening to discuss the biggest plane crash ever to occur in Sardinia.

Pilot Nando Orrù will be present to learn more about the causes that led the ATI airline's DC9 to crash on a ridge in an inaccessible area in the Sarroch mountains.

The meeting will be moderated by Sheila Franchi, president of Visit Sarroch.

The appointment will end with the presentation of the debut novel by the Sarrochese writer Igor Melis, entitled “Sa Crai”: the speaker will be Micaela Caboni.

The day organized to commemorate the Conch'e Oru accident will begin at 10 in the parish church, with the mass celebrated by the parish priest, Don Stefano Macis, during which the thirty-one victims will be remembered.
