Four hours of waiting to get that drinkable water that hasn't flowed from the taps for days: that's how long the citizens of Sarroch had to wait this morning, when they saw the Abbanoa tanker arrive at 1pm instead of 9am.

Adding insult to injury, the tankers headed for Villa San Pietro, Pula and Domus de Maria arrived at the scheduled time, and in Sarroch – the first town on the coast affected by the problem of cloudy water – they had to wait for the arrival of a tanker that had left from Nuoro.

Angelo Dessì, mayor of Sarroch, cannot contain his anger : «I stayed on the phone with the top brass of Abbanoa all morning to find out where this tanker was. Mid-morning I was told that the vehicle would arrive at 11:30, instead the many citizens who were waiting to fill their bins had to wait another hour and a half: all of this is unacceptable».

Late in the morning, a letter from Abbanoa arrived at the Town Hall, apologizing for the inconvenience.
