Investigations are underway on the tragic accident at work at Saras in Sarroch , which cost the life of Stefano Nonnis, a 42-year-old worker from Santadi , an employee of the external company Turismar, who died after falling into the sea from a jetty .
The public prosecutor of Cagliari has opened a file, at the moment against unknown persons, with the prosecutor Diana Lecca who has put at the bottom the hypothesis of the crime of manslaughter .
The investigations were entrusted to the Spresal experts and the Carabinieri of the Labor Inspectorate Unit who will be responsible for reconstructing the exact dynamics of the incident.
From what we learn, the worker was working on a pier a couple of meters high when, for reasons not yet ascertained, he fell into the sea . Colleagues attempted to help him, but the 42-year-old lost consciousness. Immediate intervention by the emergency team inside the refinery, but now there was nothing for the man to do. He drowned and the body was later recovered by fire brigade divers .
