The regional summit of the Penitentiary Administration, «despite the serious situation in which prisons find themselves, has never convened a trade union meeting for a discussion with the trade union organizations and does so, only now, after about 1 year, from the last meeting, to discuss the few euros of the incentive bonus for the personnel in service at the PRAP, a comparison which is obligatory among other things".

The representatives of Sappe (Fais), Uil (Cireddu) and Uspp (Cara) write it in a note, in which they speak of an "explosive situation", anticipating: "We will not respond to the call of 24 May in protest and to mark the distance with regional leaders".

"Prison Sardinia - the unions continue - has literally plunged into a dramatic situation, not even the serious events that have occurred recently, the emblematic case of the escape of "Badu and Carros" , have led the Superintendent to summon the workers' representatives . In almost all Sardinian Institutes there is a precarious situation, lack of staff in all roles, lack of Directors and titular Commanders and in some cases, despite the presence in the region of 17 Penitentiary Police Managers, some are sent with the regime of flat-rate mission from the peninsula, with an unlikely and unjustified expense compared to the staff present. Union relations have never reached these historic lows, no calls to seek solutions following the serious problems we have been denouncing for some time; the arbitration commissions are not convened (chaired by the administrator) which should judge the disputes between the unions and the Directions; the mandatory meetings envisaged in the framework agreement for the distribution of overtime hours in the departments have not been convened and we could continue with many other examples».

The acronyms consider today's convocation «disrespectful and untimely also because we expected at least other agendas given the serious situation in which Sardinia has plunged. If a new Provveditore is not sent as a matter of urgency, it is not difficult to predict the definitive collapse of the Sardinian penitentiary system".
