Sub Sinnai achieved a remarkable feat at the Italian Outdoor Freediving Championships, held this year in the waters of Lake Garda. The Sardinians were thrilled with their results and the unusual experience in freshwater.
The eight athletes fielded by the Sinnai club achieved a prestigious world record, a second place, and two third places.
In the overall team rankings, Sub Sinnai achieved a well-deserved fourth place out of 33 participating teams and first among the Sardinian teams.
Leading the group is an extraordinary Davide Carrera, who confirmed his title as world champion in the "bifin" specialty with a depth of -94 meters, supported by the excellent performances of freediving instructor Paolo Granata and athletes Andrea Bellosi, Giovanna Pettinau, Luisa Atzori, Danilo Casale, Augusto Marrocu and Davide Murru.
Instructor Andrea Carboni's contribution was crucial in supporting the team during training and preparation. This medal haul rewards the sacrifice and pride of a team that has represented diving excellence since 1977.
