Sardinian newborn in danger of life, emergency flight from Cagliari to Milan
The little boy, just 13 days old, was transported aboard an Air Force vehicle(Handle)

The emergency medical transport of a newborn baby of only thirteen days old from Cagliari airport to Linate airport , carried out using a Falcon 900 transport aircraft of the 31st Wing of the Italian Air Force, has just concluded.
The little patient, in imminent danger of life , needed to be urgently transferred from the University Hospital of Cagliari to the Institute for Research, Hospitalization and Treatment of a Scientific Nature (IRCCS) Hospital of San Donato Milanese (MI) .
He was accompanied by his parents and a medical team who monitored him during all phases of the flight.
The flight, defined as “IPV – Imminent Danger to Life”, was activated at the request of the Prefecture of Cagliari to the Situation Room of the Air Force Squadron Command based in Milan, which immediately involved the 31st Wing of Ciampino, one of the Departments that carries out the operational readiness service for this type of mission.
Once arrived at Linate airport, where an ambulance was already waiting for the little boy, the Falcon 900 returned to Ciampino.
