An urgent appeal to Alessandra Todde, president in pectore of the Region, to appoint a competent Councilor for Agriculture, "capable of listening to the territories and workers in the countryside".

This is being asked by farmers who have been protesting with their tractors on the roads of Sardinia and the peninsula for more than a month. They met in Tramatza for an assembly which saw the participation of over 400 people. All united by the same objective: to save agriculture and pastoralism.

The opening of a Sardinian table in Rome, next to the national one which will see its first steps on Wednesday, is "just a first step", they say, for the world of the island's countryside. Farmers and shepherds, in fact, are asking for answers on the 12 points drawn up in the manifesto drawn up before the assembly: the critical issues of the 2023/2027 CAP, the expected reductions in aid for sheep, goats and cattle, unfair competition between EU and non-EU countries, hypothesis of introducing horizontal supply chains and bureaucratic simplifications which are now urgent. Then again of clear labels and speculation on renewable energy in Sardinia.
