The Solinas Council, on the proposal of the Councilor for Labour, Ada Lai, approved, in the last session, the "guidelines on training standards for those who create tattoos and piercings". Here's what you need to know.
«The resolution - explains Lai - provides the useful requirements for obtaining the health and hygiene authorizations necessary to carry out the activity, as well as the obligation to participate in a training course organized and managed by the Local Health Authorities, aimed at the recognition of qualifications enabling. It defines - adds the councilor - the professional standards of the operators and the related training courses, the methods for exercising control and supervision functions, to prevent any risks in tattoo and piercing activities".
The provision provides for a partial or total exemption from attending training courses for obtaining the tattoo and piercing operator certification certificate, for those who have already obtained a certificate of attendance at a compulsory health and hygiene course (also at another region that has regulated the sector), who demonstrate that they have gained previous work experience in tattooing and/or piercing activities; or who are in possession of a validation document of the skills acquired by attending a skills identification and validation process at the Skills Identification, Validation and Certification Service (SIVaC) within the Regional Skills Certification System (SRCC ).
